We're going on a long road trip. Do you have any advice on what should I bring for our little wigglebutt? Except papers,water bottle and snacks and few favourite toys and protection for her. What else should I do?
Other fun things are a safety blanket, collar and leash, id tags just in case, Benadryl tablets in case of sting etc at a rest stop, and sounds like you have the rest covered! Happy travels to you and Bella!

Why does she stand up in the car? Very rarely I’ll be able to get her to sit down
Lots of dogs like to stand up in the car, usually to look out the window. It can be dangerous, however, so I would get Daisy a car harness. This will buckle her into her seat and keep her safe. You can find them online and at pet stores. I hope this helps!

My dog starts gasping,tongue sticking out,make loud gasping noises,heaving whenever he gets in the car! Had to evacuate Florida and it was horrible, afraid if my drive back home! My Purely is a pug, bad eye sight and partly deaf. What is the problem?
Many dogs suffer from anxiety when travelling, acclimatizing them to a safe crate now before the journey home, which can be used in the car can help as can calming supplements, pheromone sprays and magnetic collars. In severe cases, a vet may prescribe mild tranquilizer medications but these are not without risks outside of the supervision of trained veterinary staff, especially on a long journey and with an older pug. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! yes they are fine. I would recommend trying them out first on an experimental car ride to be sure they work well enough. Sometimes the over the counter calming treats don't work as well as we want them too. If the experimental trip fails then I would discuss sedatives with your Vet. Whether or not it is safe to leave your dog at your sisters will depend on your dog. If he has never been around children before or has shown any aggression towards children, then it is less safe. No dog should be left unattended around children, so it is best if your dog hasn't been around the baby to keep it in an area separated from where the baby will be- either a separate area of the house or outdoors. Some dogs are fine with babies, others may be made anxious by the presence of a baby or they may view the baby as a prey due to small size and the funny noises the baby makes. Since your dog is so small, perhaps putting it in a pen inside your sister's house would work. He shouldn't be hard to contain due to his size. Whether you should bring him with you is going to depend on where you area going- do they allow dogs? will it be very hot outside? will you have to leave the dog in a car?
