The wrapper itself will probably pass in within 24-48 hours. You will have to check the stool until it comes out. Monitor for signs of GI upset such as vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would recommend another of the Purina pro Plan diets which is the Purina Pro Plan shredded blends. This is easily found at a pet store for an affordable price and it is of very good quality. Good luck and have a good night!

Poor Suzi! Diarrhea with a bit of blood can have a variety of causes including stomach upset from eating abnormal food (yes, even pupperoni), parasites, viruses and hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE). I'm glad that you've started feeding her a bland diet, but be sure that she is not getting anything else (treats included) and that it is boiled white meat chicken mixed with white rice. If her diarrhea continues after a day or two on the bland diet, she should be examined by her vet and have a stool sample analyzed for parasites. Some dogs develop a GI sensitivity to fatty treats and can develop GI upset. In some cases, stopping the treats alone is insufficient and prescription medications may be needed to break the cycle of diarrhea.

A lot of prepared meats contain large amounts of salt or seasonings that may upset Jasper’s stomach, and some types of seasonings can be harmful to dogs. Try boiling boneless skinless chicken in water, shredding the chicken, and feeding him small amounts as treats. Treats should not make up more than 10 % of his daily caloric intake, and he should be fed a diet appropriate for puppies.

I'd keep her in a kennel when you aren't home, and in a playpen when you are home. You can leave wet food out for her if you change it every few hours. Do not leave her alone with the other dog. Make sure she always has water too.
