I would recommend buying a cage with plenty of room for Daisy and Stella to move around. If they are new additions to the house I would take them to a vet for a good exam to make sure they are healthy. At local pet stores they sell bedding and food for guinea pigs. I recommend handling them often which helps make them friendly and become a good pet

I don't know much about how they spay dogs in China, but I can't say I have ever heard of a dog requiring a four day hospital stay after this procedure. Here in the USA, most dogs will either go home the same day or the day after the procedure. Although a spay is an intra-abdominal procedure were an organ is removed, they tend to wake up well and not particularly painful. Unless they are using some method in China that is far more involved, I would think that the same day method is more in line with realistic.

Quite honestly it all depends upon the shape of your dog. Some harnesses tend to fit longer dogs vs stouter dog vs deep chested vs narrow shaped dogs. I would recommend bring your dog to the pet store and having her try on several different varieties to see which fits most comfortably. Most importantly, ask yourself if this harness provides proper support and will not fall off when being used for walking.

For that long of a ride, I would highly recommend the use of a carrier. Although free roaming may seem like it would make your kitty more comfortable, giving a cat a secure, small, and dark location is something the best thing you can do for them. It will allow it to relax more easily, which is exactly what cats want to do in unusual and out of the ordinary situations like the one it is about to experience. I would also recommend using a product like Feliway, a feline pheromone product that can be placed inside the carrier or in the car. It has a calming effect on many kitties. Lastly, there are drugs that can be used for events such as this that will calm your kitty down for a few hours if you think that might be necessary. They are generally safe and pretty effective. Hope this helps.
