Fever, or elevated body temperature, is a common problem in sick pets. Thank you for using Boop by Petco! I'm sorry that Jolly is not feeling well. There is no difference in the active ingredient, an antibiotic, between Velosef syrup vs capsules/tablets. Slight differences in the way the compound is dissolved may be present, but the activity is the same. Most veterinarians prescribe medications based on the animal's weight, so the total dose (total milligrams) needs to be the same no matter the form of the medication. I recommend asking your vet what the total amount of medication is per dose, and ensuring that the same amount is present in either the capsules, tablets, or syrup. I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have!

Both of these products contain an antihistamine called chlorphenarimine which does come in feline formulations. There are also several other options for controlling allergies including prescription medications and over the counter medications.

Mirtazapine is safe to use with amlodipine. Mirtazapine at high doses could potentially decrease blood pressure, but at typically prescribed doses, it is safe to give with amlodipine. Your vet may want to monitor blood pressure a few days after starting the mirtazapine just to be sure its all looking good. Thanks for asking Boop by Petco!

Love his name! That is awesome! I would recommend Revolution or Advantage Multi. I personally like Advantage Multi better. Any product containing a heartworm prevention is a prescription item so you need to get your vet to either dispense the product or write you a script. I hope this helps. Best of luck with your move!

Hello. You do not indicate how many mg are in an ml of your medication, so you will need to look on your bottle. For example, it should say something like 10mg/ml, so 0.5 ml will contain 5 mg of the drug. There is a range of doses, but this is what would be acceptable for a 5.4-pound dog, 2.5 - 7.4 mg every 12 hours. It is very safe to give to a pet with kidney failure as this medication only affects pulmonary artery pressure & perfusion. Side effects are actually not well known but include inguinal ( groin ) flushing & perhaps some GI distress ( diarrhea ). Hopefully, it helps his breathing within a few days, but if not, dosage adjustments are often made. Stay in close touch with your veterinarian as to how Memi responds to his treatments. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
