Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. Steroids generally used are Prednisolone or Depo-Medrol. If Steroids can not control the lesions, we often go to Atopica ( cyclosporine ). For the antibiotic, I would start either with the amoxicillin/clauvalonic acid or one of the cephalosporins ( Covenia if available to you). You might also investigate using a hypoallergenic diet for cats, such as one with a novel protein or one made with a hydrolyzed protein. Science Diet & Royal Canin are very popular ones here. Vet prescribed Prednisone 5gm tablet for cats. Do I pill him or can I grind it into food? Also for my other cat vet prescribed Albuertol Sulfate syrup 2mg for "as needed" can you tell me what is that used for and is it just used for coughing spells.
I would try to pill Lio with the prednisone. When medications are ground up, it's hard to know if he actually ingested the entire dose, not to mention that prednisone can be pretty bitter. I also responded to your question about Lio's x-rays. Since your vet prescribed prednisone, my guess is that they're most concerned about asthma or other inflammatory issues within the lungs. Albuterol is a bronchodilator, which is used to dilate the airways, making it easier to breathe if constriction of the airways is present. I would assume that your vet prescribed this for your other cat's coughing spells (that's typically how I prescribe it), but definitely confirm with your vet in case they have another use in mind.

Comfortis is an excellent medication against fleas (it comes in a tablet formulation) which can be given once a month. Please ask your veterinarian for a prescription. There is no medication that specifically treats chronic kidney disease. Changing to a therapeutic diet and increasing water consumption can help, and treatment is focused mainly on alleviating clinical signs like nausea or decreased appetite. High blood pressure can occur secondary to kidney disease and if Percy had high blood pressure then a medication might be prescribed. Urinary tract infections are also pretty common in cats with kidney disease so your vet may want to check Percy’s urine periodically.
