Hi I just recently tiled my bearded tank using gorilla silicone adhesive. But I recently read that was bad. Would you recommend a better silicone?
A silicone adhesive/sealant specifically for aquaria would be best. These are strong, durable and fish/reptile safe. You can find it in most home improvement stores. GE SCS1200 silicone is also reptile safe once cured/dried. It can also be found in home improvement stores and hardware stores.

What natural oils can I put on my red tegus skin to help with the dryness that comes with her breed?
Thanks for reaching out about Piglet. Very little is known on how they absorb chemical through the skin, so none are recommended. Review and correct diet (for vitamin A and other nutrients) and husbandry parameters (temperature, humidity). Application of pure aloe vera might be the only possible topical application. Try a small area first and monitor for several days. Good luck.

Hello. This is a common Red Eared Slider & there is a ton of information available online, in books & at pet stores on the proper care of these turtles. Is my set up for my bearded dragon good? (See attachment)
Thanks for your question about Smaug, and thanks for the photo as well! I think that you have a good start to your set up, and that we can tweak a few items. First, your lighting situation appears adequate - I see a UVB light (please change this bulb every 4-6 months), a basking light, and a ceramic heat bulb. I would ensure that your temperatures are appropriate for this species, and that you are monitoring them using digital thermometers (I think that you see both a digital and analog thermometers currently) at the level of Smaug. Analog thermometers are inaccurate, so I don't recommend using them (also, they are high up on the sides of the enclosure, so they wouldn't be giving an accurate temperature read for Smaug). For the cage furniture that you have, I like that you have places for Smaug to climb and hide. However, I would recommend having a hide on both the warm side of the enclosure and the cool side so that Smaug has choices. Same for the climbing structures. I may have misse

My tortoise recently had a intestinal prolapse twice in about a week. Took her to the vet both times and they fixed her up. After her second prolaspe I was soaking her in water until I could call the vet, during that time she had a huge bm. I haven't
When I see animals with rectal prolapses I am always suspicious that they may have intestinal parasites. I would recommend a fecal exam.
