We purchased this bearded dragon from a local pet store. As I have researching proper care for him, I have noticed that he may in fact be a Rankins dragon. I am just curious as to what he is so we can provide proper care and housing for him. Thank yo
It is difficult to say for sure what type of dragon you may have. If this is a baby then it very well could just be a bearded dragon. Rankin dragons are usually smaller when they are fully grown that a bearded dragon. I would buy an enclosure big enough for a bearded dragon to be safe. Also, I would feed and treat it as if it is a bearded dragon. It is going to be less likely that you got a Rankin dragon from a local pet store. From my understanding, you have to seek out a Rankin dragon breeder to be sure you are getting this type of dragon. I hope this helps!

Thanks for reaching out about Zeplyn and including photos. The understanding is Petco will buy back with you being able to re-purchase. Check with them. Anorexia is often causes by intestinal parasites or infections, so a veterinary visit is recommended to assess and a diagnostic/treatment plan. Check and correct husbandry including temperature and gradient, UVB exposure, and diet. Good luck.

I can no longer support my sister’s leopard gecko and am hoping to return the gecko to the store he was purchased at.
It is very unlikely that the store will take the gecko back, as they will not know whether it has any health problems. If you cannot keep it, you should ask your local shelter to take it , or contact a reptile club in your area. Maybe someone will take the Gecko off your hands.

Check the temperature an dlighting. Low temps can affect appetite and digestion in reptiles. Offer a biologically appropriate diet. This can include a commercial pelleted or stick diet, and being omnivorous, should also include insects, fresh fruit and vegetables. See your veterianrian or vet experienced in treating reptiles if she does not regain her appetite.

Thanks for reaching out. Sound like you have a full house. 1. Birds will often bond together but continue to work with them in a quiet environ, offering treats to win and re-enforce trust. Toys, the radio or tv, can all assist with boredom. Setting up foraging toys so birds need to spend time looking for food. 2. There is no such thing as too big a cage. 3. Heating rocks are rarely approved for use, as they will eventually become faulty and get too hot, potentially damaging the animal. A heat lamp is recommended. 4. The bunny's litter box should be spot cleaned daily and full clean weekly. If you can smell it you waited too long. Good luck.
