Do you know what this may be on my dogs nose it has just appeared in the last 3 weeks
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is likely secondary to her nose being dry. This can be due to the current winter weather. If this is the case, this should improve and resolve shortly. In winters will it be safe to make him wear dog coat because his nose remains cold all the night in winters even after wearing coat
It is normal for a dog's nose to be moist and cold. I would be more worried if the nose was warm or hot and dry. A German Shepherd dog does not need a dog coat, it is better to let him go out without a coat.

I have a 5lb dog that is a teddy bear breed. We live in WI. Does he need a coat during winter or shoes? I have hear mix thing from people.
Batman is cute!!!! I would recommend a coat for sure when he goes outside. If he is going outside for longer then 10 minutes, I would also recommend boots (if he will wear them). These little ones lose body heat quickly. Thank you for using Pet Coach!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Percy is adorable! From the second picture it looks like he has a respiratory infection. A dry or wet nose doesn’t tell us a lot about their health but dogs shouldn’t have green discharge from the nose. I recommend taking him to a vet for an exam. They may need to take an X-ray to make sure it’s not in his lungs. They can also start him on antibiotics for the infection. Good luck and kisses to Percy!
