For short walks, a few minutes, she can probably go out as is. If you plan on spending more than 5-10 minutes outside or if Maggie takes a long time to do her business, then you may want to consider booties and a coat. You can search online for an updated edition of the book in question. Sites such as Amazon ( www.amazon.com ) or the AKC Shop ( https://shop.akc.org ) may have it or a similar publication. "The New Complete Dog Book" ( https://shop.akc.org/products/the-new-complete-dog-book ) may be something you would be interested in.

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco! Based on the picture, it does appear that this could be a hot spot. I typically recommend using products that soothe and treat infection. What I would recommend would be Well & Good Hydrocortisone spray (at Petco) and Miconahex + Triz spray and apply both of these twice daily until resolved. If there is no improvement within 7 days, I would recommend taking your dog in to be seen by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps!

Poor pup! The snow, ice, and salt on the ground to melt the ice can be very hard on a dog's paws. While he is at home, you can put a little vaseline on his paws to help the chapping. Put a sock over his paws to keep him for licking at the vaseline, and put some tape very loosely on the top of the sock to keep it on. You may have to put an Ecollar on him to keep him from licking at the socks, and you can get one from your vet's clinic or a pet store. When you are walking him outside, I recommend getting Musher's Secret. That will help protect his paws from the snow, ice, and salt. You can get it online or in a pet store. As for his nose, he may have snow nose, which is when a dog's nose turns lighter in color in months when there isn't much sunlight. It should become darker again when spring and summer returns.

Dogs can experience a phase where things they have not encountered previously can make them feel nervous or fearful. Teddy is just about at this age. I would advise exposing him to as many new experiences as you can while he is in this socialisation age. If he is fearful try gently positive reinforcement to help him feel safe and secure.
