Yes, the products can be used together. Zodiac flea and tick powder can be quite irritating to a dog's eyes, nose, throat and lungs and is a very harsh chemical, so it is not my favorite method of flea control. I much prefer using a topical spot-op or oral flea and tick prevention which will work better and likely be safer and less irritating for Alice. The oral tablets are safe, but are likely not as effective as the other products on the market. I am attaching a handout below on flea control and a second one that has a link to current flea products on the market for dogs that might be helpful for you. https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951999 https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4952808 Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Frontline is very safe and well tolerated in cats. So is Advantage Multi- not Advantix- but Advantage Multi- (which also protects your cat against heart-worm disease and intestinal parasites as well)- these products are very safe for cats and they do very well for fleas and a little for ticks. Frontline does not not work for mosquitoes or no see ums. For that you need a product like a Seresto collar- whenever you get into these products the safety is a little less but Seresto is very safe and pretty well tolerated by most casts. It is not like the old flea collar that had Amitraz (those are NOT safe!). I would suggest a Seresto collar and an oral Feline Heartgard chew or topical Advanatge Multi for your cat (combo of both). But you should check with your vet for more info for your particular cat.

Fleas tend to live in the environment (your house, the garden, etc.) and will hop onto a cat or dog only when they are hungry, in order to bite. Once the flea has eaten, it will hop off again. For every flea you find on your animal, there may be 100 fleas in its surroundings! You will need to do thee following: So you need to treat all your pets as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). . Flea treatment: 1) Get some flea medication such as a Flea spray or a spot on from a pet shop or your veterinarian and apply monthly 2) get flea powder, put some in your vacuum cleaner bag and hoover your house and furniture and also non-carpeted areas frequently to remove flea larvae and eggs which live off house dust., Dispose of the bag in the rubbish bin outside. Hot-wash all the pet's bedding, If you do this diligently for a few months you will get rid of the fleas. Flea products: Spot-ons: Many, if not all of those are only available from your vet. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Thankfully, you have a few options here. I recommend you consider using a product called Capstar which is to kill a lot of fleas at once to complement a flea preventative product like Advantage. You can go ahead and give another dose of Advantage now as well. I would not give up on Advantage just yet. Continue to use it for now as this flea may be was a one time occurrence and the Advantage was still being effective. Another option is switching to Bravecto now though again Advantage may still be effective so it may be best to exhaust its use. Good luck and have a great day!
