So Loki is almost two years old ND still wants to eat more bugs than greens. is this normal? If not any suggestions?
The bugs/prey likely taste better and move which stimulates feeding. You can try offering greens and vegetables first thing in the morning. Do this about 2 hours after the heat lamp turns on to allow warming. You can sprinkle freeze dried prey on the greens to stimulate the appetite. Also, a bit of a commercial beardie diet can be offered.

Yes, BSFL can be fed to juvenile beardies. They can be fed to Mateo can be fed daily. Calcium supplementation is not necessary when feeding BSFL as they are naturally high in calcium. You will still need to supplement with a reptile multivitamin. They are also known as phoenix worms and calci-worms.

It does appear to be of the takydromus species. These grass lizards are common and fairly easy to keep. Being adept climbers, more vertical space should be offered in an enclosure. Branches and vines can be placed for climbing. Bring reptiles, they need an external heat source and UVB lighting. Daytime temps can range from 24 C to 30 C (75-85 F). Provide a basking spot of around 35 C to 38 C (95-100 F) using a heat lamp. Aim for 70-80% humidity. Provide a shallow bowl for water. Mist the cage daily. Feed appropriately sized prey, no bigger than the space between the eyes, that have been gutload for 24 hours prior to offering. This will maximize nutritional value. Crickets, mealworms, dubia roaches, waxworms or wingless fruit flies can all be offered. Dust prey with a calcium supplement and a multivitamin supplement several times weekly. Ideally, the wound should be addressed by a veterinarian experienced in treating reptiles. You can clean it with dilute Betadine or chlorhexidine

Hi, I have a 4 month old gecko and he isn’t eating. I’m worried about him. His owner had him on powder smoothie mix but I tried veggie and meal worms, he won’t eat any so I went back to smoothie and he is continuing not to eat
You can also try crickets or dubia roaches. Make sure any prey is appropriately sized, no bigger than the space between the eyes. At his age, you're going to be feeding pretty small prey. Check the temps in the enclosure also. Low temps can affect appetite in reptiles. Soak him in a warm 50/50 solution of water and unflavored PediaLyte. This will provide warmth and may treat or prevent minor dehydration. You can also supplement with Fluker's Repta-Boost. Find it in the local Petco.

Thanks for reaching out about Oakley. Both Repashy and Pangea are known brands in the industry but there are concerns on whether they are complete diets for a lifetime. It would be recommended to switch from one to the other, periodically. One might have more of one nutrient, where to other might be better supplemented in others. Both should be well fortified in calcium. It is possible to over-supplement with calcium so probably wouldn't add more than once weekly. Good luck.
